Taptrack (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1) Information We Collect

• Account & App Data: Basic account details (e.g., name, email) if you sign in, plus diagnostics to improve performance.

• Imported Links & Metadata: When you share an Instagram Reel into taptrack, we store the URL and publicly available metadata (e.g., title, thumbnail URL, and author handle) if available via Meta-approved methods such as oEmbed. We do not download or host Instagram videos.

2) How We Use Information

• To operate and improve taptrack features (e.g., saving links, organizing techniques).

• To display previews of public Instagram content you’ve shared into the app.

• To maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.

3) What We Don’t Do

• We don’t access or display private/restricted Instagram content.

• We don’t download, re-host, or stream Instagram videos or images beyond permitted preview/metadata.

• We don’t sell your personal data.

4) Attribution & Linking

Where relevant, we display the author’s handle and a link back to the original Instagram post to respect platform terms.

5) Service Providers

We may use processors (e.g., hosting/analytics) solely to operate the app. They must protect data and follow our instructions.

6) Caching & Rate Limits

We may cache oEmbed responses/metadata for a limited period to ensure reliability and respect API rate limits. Cached data is refreshed or removed periodically.

7) Your Choices

You can remove saved links/entries in the app. You can request deletion of your account and associated data (see our Data Deletion Policy).

8) Changes

We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version with an updated “Effective Date”.
